Legal Challenge
On March 7 Dover District Council granted planning permission for both the hotel and surf lagoon at Betteshanger Country Park to the huge disappointment of the Friends of Betteshanger, our partners, the RSPB, Kent Wildlife trust and CPRE Kent and our many supporters.
However we are not done yet and the Friends of Betteshanger have initiated a legal challenge. On the advice of Mark Avery at Wild Justice we have instructed Leigh Day solicitors and are investigating the possibility of Judicial Review. We are currently awaiting a response from Dover District Council to the pre-action protocol letter that has been sent to them.
Legal action costs a great deal of money so any contributions to our crowd justice fund raising appeal would be much appreciated
